Can high school teachers dating former students sedating chemical chloroform
When I was a senior in HS many decades ago at the height of late 50's pruditry I did not restrict my "dating" to high school girls.
Given the memories I am darn glad I did not follow all the restrictions my parents and other well meaning adults were trying to put me under.
why not just ban all type profession sort like relationships like doctor prohibited from dating patients, or lawyer thier clients, how about even banning coaches from any sport date any athelete...
why should teacher be the only ones put under the microscope why not just make all students legally be minors???
It seems odd to me - even if it is only a five or ten year difference. Anybody who would even consider this is thinking with his nether regions, not with his brain. There a just so many ways for this situation to go terribly wrong.
lets see 22 year old teacher dating 18 year old high schooler = bad idea 22 year old fireman/self-employed worker dating 18 year old high schooler = no problem??
From a social perspective it is no body's business except for the people involved.
This discussion is just another example of the rampant (I hope that is not too sugestive) pruditry on this board.
I don't think it's prudish to point out the obvious, which is that most people will look at this situation and consider the teacher to be, at the very least, lacking good judgement and common sense.
If the teacher follows through with the relationship and it is discovered, he/she will lose their job. Wait until after the HS student has graduated, if you want to spare the two of you a lot of grief.
